The Amsons Group, through its commitment to accessible and sustainable energy solutions, today officially announced the launch of the 'Upishi Safi' (Clean Cooking) Competition. The announcement was made during a lively press conference held at the Kawe Ward Office in Kinondoni, attracting extensive media coverage and community support.

Scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 26th, at the Msasani Beach Club, the competition is a flagship initiative aimed at significantly promoting the widespread use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The Group's core message, passionately conveyed at the press briefing, is clear: LPG is the safer, more affordable, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cooking fuels.

Amsons Group extended its sincere gratitude to the Kawe Ward leadership, members of the press, and the Ngome ya Mama Samia (NMS) for their invaluable partnership in bringing this initiative to life. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both the corporate sector and local leadership to public health and environmental sustainability.

The competition will feature 20 dedicated Mama Ntilie (food vendors) who are the backbone of community dining. They will compete across three categories: Chapati, Mandazi, and Bajia, with one winner crowned in each group.

Beyond the culinary excitement, the core focus of the event is education. Attendees will receive essential training on LPG safety protocols, a detailed breakdown of the long-term cost savings when compared to charcoal and firewood, and attractive joining offers to facilitate the immediate switch to clean energy. This event is not just a competition; it is a vital educational platform designed to empower small business owners and promote a healthier Tanzania.
